Solar PV systems generate electricity using nothing but daylight using easily fitted solar panels. The technology couldn’t be simpler and it’s already used in our daily lives for things like traffic signals and solar powered calculators.
Solar PV systems work in a similar way and are wired in to your existing home electric supply using a current converter.
Once you’re up and running you could be generating up to 1,800 units of electricity per year based on a 2.04 kWp system1. Given the fact the average UK household usage is 3,300 units it makes more than energy, it makes sense2.
Solar energy is easy to install, typically only taking 2 days with minimum internal work3.
