• Southern Electric launches Facebook page

  • If you’re one of the 800 million (yes, that’s 800,000,000!) Facebook users out there, then you’ve maybe been wondering when you’ll be able to spot us appearing on your news feed.

    Well, wait no longer as we’ve recently launched our brand new Southern Electric Facebook page for customers, marking the next step in our growing social media presence.

    Customers will have regular access to exciting competitions, votes and polls, energy saving advice and a help centre for customer enquiries. The page will also include tons of exclusive content about the things we’re proud to support, from the England Cricket Board’s Southern Electric Premier Cricket League, to the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy – the host sailing venue for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

    And that’s not all – in addition, we've launched our Southern Electric YouTube channel, which hosts a series of customer help videos. Initially offering advice about domestic heating, the channel will soon feature topics from across our customer-facing business. We’ll also use videos to talk about our sponsorship and community activity.
